Privacy Policy. What SpotlessCo does with what you send, what it counts, and what it does not do.

The short version
SpotlessCo is a house cleaning business in Vaughan, Ontario. This page covers the website at spotlessco.ca.
We get what you type into a quote form. The site runs over HTTPS. It sets no cookies. It counts visits without cookies and without knowing who you are.
What we collect and when
You give us information in one place: the quote form. It sits on the homepage, each service page, each service-area page and the contact page.
It asks for your name, phone, email, area and service. The homepage and service-area form also asks property size. A text box takes home details. A hidden anti-spam field is checked, then discarded.
What the form sends automatically
Each submission notes which form you used, the page it was on, and the page you were on before.
That full previous address reaches our own server. The email we read gets a shortened version. Query strings are dropped, and an outside site becomes a bare name like google.com.
Why we collect it
The first reason is to answer your request. Scope, timing and access come from what you send.
The second is smaller. The form notes say which form brings requests in. The counting below says how many people start a form and never send it.
Measuring the site
Two Vercel tools run here: Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Neither uses a cookie. They count page views and page speed. Each count carries the page address, the page you came from, your country, and your device, browser and operating system.
Vercel already hosts this site and saw all of that. The same company processes these counts, so no new company is involved. Vercel tells repeat visits apart without a cookie. Vercel says it derives a short-lived value from the request and rotates it. No IP address travels with these counts, and we build no profile of you.
The four actions we count
Four actions are counted beyond page views. Someone first tapping into or typing in a quote form, and which form. A quote form sending, with the service picked from its dropdown. A phone number being tapped, and roughly where it sat: nav, hero, footer or body link. A service page link being clicked, and which service page it points to.
That is the whole list, and each one carries the page address in the same way a page view does. No name, email, phone number, area or message text is ever attached. The service is recorded only when the dropdown offered it. What you type reaches us by email when you press send.
Turning the counting off
Your browser can say it does not want tracking. Two signals do that: Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. Both are a browser setting or a privacy extension.
If either is on when a page loads, the analytics script is never fetched. None of the four actions is counted. A tracker blocker stops it too, and the site works the same.
Server logs
Vercel keeps ordinary server logs. Those hold your IP address, your browser, the page and the time. Our own code never reads or stores it.
One more log matters. If email delivery fails, the text of your request goes to our hosting log, so it is not lost. Vercel holds that log on its own schedule.
How long things are kept
Quote emails stay in our mailbox. We have set no fixed deletion date. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
The other copies are not ours. FormSubmit, Web3Forms and Vercel keep their own records on their own schedules.
Your rights in Canada
Canada's federal privacy law is PIPEDA. You can ask to see what a business holds about you. You can ask to have it corrected.
Email or call us. Say what you sent and roughly when. We will search the mailbox and reply. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Our work is booked by homeowners, renters and hosts. This site is not aimed at children. We never ask for anyone's age.
We do not want a child's information. Tell us if a child sent something and we will delete it.

What we do not do
While you read this site, your browser contacts only spotlessco.ca. Photos, fonts and the analytics script come from our own domain. The counts go back to a spotlessco.ca address. Sending a quote form is the one exception.
- No cookies at all. The counting is cookieless, so there is no banner to click.
- No tag manager, heatmap or session recording. Nothing replays what you did on a page.
- No advertising or retargeting. Nothing here follows you to another website.
- No profile of you. The counts are totals, never a file about a person.
- No Google Analytics. The only measurement runs through Vercel, who already hosts this site.
- No selling, renting or trading of personal information, and no sharing of it for advertising.
- No accounts, passwords or payments on this website.
- No file uploads, live chat, map embeds or booking widgets.
- No CAPTCHA, so nothing about you goes to a CAPTCHA provider.

Effective date and changes
This policy takes effect on 3 September 2026. It replaces the version of 2 September 2026, which said the site ran no analytics. We update this page when the practice changes.
