Whole-home weekly cleaning checklist

Kitchen
- Clear the counters, then wipe them and the backsplash
- Wipe the stovetop, the controls, and the hood underside
- Wipe appliance fronts, handles, and the microwave interior
- Wash the sink and taps, then dry them so marks do not set
- Wipe the table and the backs of the chairs
- Empty the bin, wash the lid, and replace the liner
- Sweep, then mop in front of the sink and stove
Bathrooms
- Apply product to the tub, shower, and toilet and leave it for the contact time on the label
- Scrub and rinse the tub or shower, then squeegee the glass
- Clean the toilet inside, then the seat, hinges, and base
- Wipe the sink, taps, and vanity top
- Clean the mirror and any glass shelf
- Change the hand towels and wash the bath mat

Bedrooms

- Shake out the entry mat and wipe the front door handle
- Dust the stair rail and any high ledge you can reach safely

Before you start
- Clear the counters completely into one holding bin
- Read each product label and confirm it suits the surface
- Open a window or run the exhaust fan
Cabinets and upper surfaces
- Dust the light fixture and any high ledge you can reach safely
- Degrease the range hood and clean the filter per its label
- Wipe cabinet fronts, door edges, and handles
- Empty and wipe one cabinet interior at a time
Counters, backsplash, and sink
- Degrease the backsplash and the wall behind the stove
- Work the grout lines where the product allows it
- Scrub the sink, the drain, and the seam at the counter
- Descale the tap and the sprayer head

Appliance interiors
- Clean the oven with a product intended for it and respect the stated dwell time
- Pull the racks out and wash them separately
- Wipe the microwave ceiling, walls, and turntable
- Empty the fridge shelf by shelf, wipe, check dates, and dry before restocking

- Clean the dishwasher filter, seal, and door edge
Floors and finish
- Move the bin and any furniture you can shift safely
- Wipe the baseboards and the toe kick under the cabinets
- Sweep, then mop out of the room toward the doorway
- Return the holding bin and dry the taps last

Bathroom deep clean checklist
Apply product first, work on a dry task while it sits, and keep separate cloths for the toilet and everything else.
Prep
- Clear the counter, the tub edge, and the shower shelves
- Wash the toothbrush holder and the soap dish
- Ventilate the room and apply product to the wet surfaces
Shower and tub
- Scrub the tiles or surround from the top down
- Work the grout and the corner seals
- Descale the shower head and the taps
- Clean the glass, or wash the curtain per its care label
- Clean the drain cover and the overflow plate
- Rinse, dry the surround, and squeegee the glass
Sink, vanity, and mirror
- Empty the drawers and wipe them out

Toilet

Move-out day: the print-and-carry list

Change the list before you print it
A checklist only works when it matches the home in front of you. Strike out the lines for rooms and appliances you do not have, and write in the ones that are missing: a pet area, a basement, a second entry, a balcony. Once-a-year work sits outside all four lists above. Light fixtures, storage rooms, and the jobs that only surface when the weather turns belong on a spring cleaning checklist. How do I print only one of the four checklists?
Open the print dialog and look at the preview pane first. Each list starts under its own heading, so note the page numbers you want and enter them in the page range field. Firefox offers a print-selection-only checkbox once a list is highlighted; Chrome's dialog has no selection option, so use the page range there.
Will the checklist print in colour?
No. The print rules force black text on white paper and turn the tick boxes into plain outlines, so nothing depends on background graphics being enabled. That keeps ink use low and keeps the boxes usable on any printer.
How often should each list be used?
The whole-home list is built around a weekly reset. The kitchen and bathroom lists are detail work, so run them when buildup returns rather than on a fixed calendar. The move-out list is used once, in the days before a handover or final inspection.
Can I change the lists to match my home?
Yes, and you should. Print the list, cross out anything you do not have, and write in the rooms, surfaces, or pets that your home actually involves. Two people splitting the work usually do better with one printed copy each and the rooms divided up front.
Do professional cleaners work from a checklist like this one?
Scope is agreed before a visit rather than assumed from a generic list. Bringing your marked-up printout to a quote request is a practical way to show which rooms and detail tasks matter to you and which ones you would rather keep doing yourself.

What the printed version leaves out
The print rules on this page remove the site navigation, the footer, every photo, the quote card, the questions section, and the booking band, then force plain black text on white paper. Room lists are kept together so a single list does not split across two sheets, and the tick boxes are outlines rather than filled shapes, so you do not need background graphics switched on in the print dialog.
If the preview still looks wrong, check that scaling is set to fit the page width and that no zoom level is carried over from the screen. Printing to PDF from the same dialog works too: open the destination or printer list, pick Save as PDF, and you get a file with the same layout.
When to hand the checklist to someone else
